February is the month of love and love is all about sharing so I will be sharing something with you guys today (that doesn’t mean I won’t be sharing anything anymore. I will always be sharing something with you guys 
). So what I’m sharing today is the plugin I use on Shirley’s Zone for SEO (Search Engine Optimization, in case you don’t know the full meaning ). That plugin is called Platinum SEO Pack, I don’t know if you have heard of it before but I bet some of you have and some of you might even be using it because most bloggers (wordpress bloggers, that is) use SEO plugins because they are really concerned about their search engine rankings especially Google, the big guy on the net .
Platinum SEO Pack is a really helpful plugin. How did I find it? Well, I was reading the blackbook (umm..authority blackbook…not a blackbook like it’s some cult book or something, hmm…I think we could do with a cult book or something right? seriously? just don’t mind me, it’s 1:51 am here and I’m drafting this thing, I might be sleepy ) by Jack Humphrey, one of the big guys in the blogosphere, a while way back in 2009, even before this blog was started or launched, and it included a section about WordPress plugins and it listed some for most categories like SEO, security, etc, etc.
And I found the All In SEO Pack in the SEO category, so sometime on when this wonderful blog (haaa…isn’t it wonderful? Just unimaginably and unbelievably wonderful ) was launched I decided to search for that plugin for Shirley’s Zone and then I found out that the All In SEO Pack had a higher and better version called the Platinum SEO Pack and then I decided to go with that, who doesn’t like something better? (well, some people might not…yeah the exist in this biosphere we call earth, or else the world and the living we call life wouldn’t be mysterious and somtimes uncomprehensive…yeah…that’s the word, uncomprehensive ).
The Platinum SEO Pack plugin actually allows you to enter in keywords for your blog post, a title, a description, and some other technical SEO stuff. It’s pretty helpful, at least that’s what I think. And I think that it will be helpful for you, if you are not using it yet.
I mean everybody (I mean bloggers, what would a waiter do with SEO? I mean he would say what? Soy Sauce? hehehehe ) can do with some SEOs because we all need traffic, it’s like an addiction that we all have, without traffic on your blog, you start shaking and before we know it you start getting convulsions…oh Jesus, help us all, we need traffic, don’t we? 
. Can someone pray for us please? Anyone in the congregation? We need you to pray about this traffic menace for us so that we can become like the John Chows and Darren Rowses quickly. Amen. Can I get an Amen? Amen. Amen from the last seat? Yeah, now that’s the spirit. We’ll have our offering now .
Oh, and with the chocolates yesterday, I didn’t get any myself, only one person, The Twitterer, offered me some of hers. Thanks, The Twitter, you rock . Some of you guys would have wanted to share yours with me but you said you didn’t get any, so we were in the same Titanic (no not the same boat, it’s the Titanic).
And umm…in case you got some chocolates late in the night or today, care to share with a nice girl here? Hehehe , okay enough with all this valentine stuff because yesterday love drowned me, I mean it nearly did, and a beach guide rescued me, just unimaginable, ha! , I mean I’m beach-traumatized now, check Britannica for that word maybe God might help you find it, if He’s not on Holiday, it’s been a long year, man, you have to rest, I mean God , He has to, seriously, we don’t want Him getting any paralysis here, then who would we pray to? sheesh..I don’t want to imagine that happening .
Okay, so is anyone using the Platinum SEO Pack plugin? What’s your experience with it? Any SEO benefits from it yet? I used to use SEO Pack and quite liked it. I’ve been using the Thesis Theme for a number of months now and the SEO functionality is mostly built in. I love it.

Well, glad you have found the Platinum SEO plugin. I wouldn’t call it “ultimate”.. it just gives a lot of features from other plugins…and that’s why it’s simply awesome and irreplaceable plugin, but not just ultimate
Little tip: don’t overplay with index/noindex tags in settings! It’s kind of dangerous.

Before I use thesis framework, I rely on All in One SEO pack. But Thesis framework has good built in SEO options…
Different blogger, different style..we have numbers of SEO plugin to choose..so make a good choice..

One of it’s best features is the automatic redirect for permalinks.
Not to burst any bubbles, but neither Google nor Yahoo use meta keywords for ranking anymore.

As for the metas…the two biggies no longer use them and MSN will surely follow one of these days. Some of the smaller engines might though, so if you’re stuck on wanting to input them, and you have the time, it’s up to you.

Great post about the Platinum SEO Pack. I used it on most of my websites and it works LIKE A CHARM! I read the Blackbook as well and it has great tips. I’ve heard a lot a people throw around the idea that we should use the All-in-One SEO pack, but I believe that Platinum is superior. Thanks for sharing.

I use the all in one pack. I have heard good things about platinum, but it does everything ALL in one more. But most of the extras you really don’t need. I have been wanting to try it, once I start my next blog project I will try it out.

Ok – So yeah I used AIO and Platinum on one site I put together for a client.
In pre-launch I used first AIO for about 3 weeks, then SEO Platinum Pack.
(Then I found the right program. At least for me and my local clients situations.) “Ultimate SEO”

Initially with my own SEO knowledge and AIO first then Platinum I got the site to where we wanted to be in GOOGLE (1st page top position), under the Keywords we wanted to be found under (Local Business listings and Geo-Targeted Organic listings). You can look at the case study here:

^^ that ^^ was also my client’s 60 Day Report. I like to keep them as non-techie as possible for clients. Obviously he can see more than what’s in my report in Google Analytics, but that mystifies him a bit too.
Anyway, trying AIO and PLATINUM in pre-launch I got the site on page 1 for some of his most coveted keyword phrases but there were no indented listings under the organic listings.
So the hunt was on. I read a lot and learned more than I already knew (Considerable; no brag just fact), but what I found out was the things I needed to do to accomplish indented listings and ” + ” plus box drop down listings of more pages, (You’ll see what I mean in the Case Study) . . . was the extra things that needed to be done to get the additional listings I’m talking about is in a VERY Cool plugin called: Ultimate SEO. (Which is how I found your post Shirley – The word Ultimate).
