The Embed Article WordPress Plugin – Get Paid For Your Copied Work

So a couple of days back whilst sitting behind my dear best friend here ( I mean my laptop…stop thinking otherwise :P ) like a zombie striken with stroke or something, I received an email from a CEO. Umm…the CEO of Embed Article, he’s called Kris. Yeah, I’m not going to give the full name maybe the guy might not like it, so just shut up, Shirley :D (don’t worry it’s shut and stitched now, oh and zipped too :D ;) ).

Yeah, so Kris wanted me to check out the WordPress plugin they are offering for their already existing web service. The WordPress plugin is a new one they’ve just launched. Kris said he saw my talk or should I say rant, okay my post about the Platinum SEO Pack WordPress plugin, guess most of you guys know that plugin and most of you don’t, so if you are in the don’t group, just click that link and go read about it because if you have a WordPress blog it will be certainly helpful for you.

So Kris said they’ve launched a plugin for their web service Embed Article and he thought that you guys would love it so he wanted me to talk about it to you guys. Umm….I’m not being paid here or anything…gee I’m dry on cash, hehe…but I’m not taking anything from anyone. I’m doing all this for fun…gee…teenagers :D :P .

So I told Kris, okay I’ll check out your site and if I like it and find it helpful for my readers I will tell them about it. If not, I won’t talk to them about it. And Kris went splendid. So I checked it out and loved it..yeah I did. Why? Because I loved the concept behind the whole thing.

What’s the concept?

The concept is on taking advantage of someone copying your content. You know how you can actually sit behind your pc be it a desktop or laptop, in the middle of the night or whatever time it is and nibble and nibble your fingers to get that thing called a keyboard to get your required alphabets on to the screen of your pc and then when you hit the publish button a God-sent angel from heaven or paradise or from the New Jerusalem or something comes and then copies your whole content or part of it and then wonderfully pastes it onto his or her blog or site. I mean isn’t that the most wonderful thing to happen to a blogger? Ahem…no..I don’t want people coming through my monitor to beat me over here :P .

So what Embed Article does is help you take advantage of that. They let you insert a code into your site or blog and then when somebody tries to copy a part of your article or post or any part of your site or blog, then a code snippet will pop-up so that the person copies that code instead and put in his or her blog or site. And this code when inserted in to the person’s blog or site, will display the text copied but also in addition with something? What? With a link back to your article or post copied and then with an ad inserted, your own ad. So that means, monetization for you and link building for you. And oh, the code is Javascript so the person’s copied content will be hidden from the search engines, meaning you only will be ranking for your content. Really nice huh? Yeah.

Oh, Kris, you are so bad :D . So now the thing is that once your site or blog is Embed Article enabled nobody can copy your content without being asked to get the code snippet. Oh, bad news for the copy cats. I hate bad news. Gee…it’s just like watching a vampire movie on a raining Halloween night, scary, that’s just how bad news is :P .

So to be able to use Embed Article on your WordPress blog, you will have to get a plugin so Kris and his guys at Embed Article just launched a WordPress plugin so that you can Embed Article enable your WordPress blog, so you are not left out of this wicked thing by Kris, hehe :D .

And oh, it’s free..umm..mostly. They provide all the features for free except with the ads that is 50% free, meaning,  if someone embeds your article and it gets 1,000 impressions on their blog, your ad will be shown 500 times, and Kris and his guys’ will be shown for the other 500. So that means any revenue you earn is yours to keep. For me I think that’s not bad at all (it’s actually great :D ) because what’s important to me here is that the copy cat is not taking advantage of your hard work by just copying your content for free, you will get a link back and on top of that earn revenue. I think this sounds just like Christmas to bloggers, right? Yeah :D .

So this is what I discovered through Kris, that I wanted to share with you guys. I find the concept very interesting and most importantly helpful. Great start-up, Kris, great start-up :) .

You can learn more about Embed Article as a whole and how it works here. And you can check out their WordPress plugin (their WordPress plugin info was put on their registration page) here.

So what do you think guys? Is this something you think everyone should go for? What do you think about the concept and the idea behind everything? Are you going to use it? :) . Please let me know your thoughts to these questions and any other thought, I mean just any other thought ;) , that you have about this post. Thanks. Preciate it :) .

I have wrote a post recently about automated blogging, I don’t think that this plugin will work in all cases, it will work only when someone copy your code! I hope they can develop it to reach our blog RSS feeds in some how to stop to AutomatedBlogs from stealing our work!

Great review Shirley! Good to know for when I become well read and famous like you!! :) It’s so nice to read a “non-dry and boring” review on something like this-keep up the good work.

Thanks for the encouragement and compliments, Laura :) . I’m glad you liked the review :) and also glad you weren’t bored to death reading it, like having a rocket science class in the middle of a cemetery (umm…do I like cemeteries or what? been mentioning it nowadays..nah I don’t like cemeteries :D ).

Glad you passed by, Laura, and hope to see you here again soon…umm I mean real soon, okay? Yay!! great you said okay :D :) .

Oh very cool girly, very cool! And not a bad deal having CEO’s following your blog. ;)

My own little trick was to just make sure I had at least one link back to me in the first and/or 2nd paragraph, but this is better!

As Hesham stated though, the ultimate would be to catch the auto-scrappers, not just the ones “working’ for it by copy/pasting, so please do keep us informed on that.

So you give them you Google ID too, yes?
